Treating Pulmonary Diseases And Conditions
Pulmonary specialists at CHI St. Alexius Health are trained to treat diseases and conditions of the chest, particularly pneumonia, asthma, tuberculosis, emphysema, and chronic bronchitis.
Physicians diagnose pulmonary (lung-related) problems with a combination of physical exam, chest X-ray, and pulmonary function test.
Treatment is a continuum of care that varies according to each patient’s condition. It may include prevention, education, medication therapy, outpatient or inpatient procedures, and lifestyle changes.
